About

I’m a survey researcher and independent data consultant specializing in public opinion, political polling, and survey methodology. I currently consult for mission-driven organizations—recent clients include Everytown for Gun Safety and a progressive polling startup—and hold a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Chicago’s Center on Democracy, where I study threats to public officials and democratic attitudes.

During the 2024 election cycle, I worked with the U.S. News Team at YouGov, where I wrote data journalism articles, produced real-time polling visualizations, and collaborated with journalists on data-driven political coverage. I earned my PhD in Social Psychology (with a minor in Quantitative Methods) from the University of Illinois Chicago, where my research focused on how people think about morality, politics, and democratic norms. Before grad school, I worked in the Texas House of Representatives as a mental health policy analyst.
